Every year the WA Nightclub Association throws what has become the most eagerly awaited industry bash in Perth. This year is set to storm the stage at Metro City for another decked out and frocked up show- stopping party.

Ever sit back and think about what you wanted to be when you were ten years old? Dreams of being a fireman, a nurse, a pilot or a doctor long since quashed by real life? Now’s your chance to come out in style at the 13th Annual Nocturnal Ball!

This year’s theme is “When I Grow Up”, so it’s time to think back, dress up and step out to the industry’s most highly anticipated night of nights.

Showcasing West Australian DJs, stage performances and entertainment all night long!

From the ashes of a golden past rises one of Perths most beloved Annual Fancy Dress Events. An institution that most dance music enthusiasts hold close to their hearts and etched in their memories. The Mad Hatters Ball has been held in such legendary venues such as Exit, DC’s, Globe, Embassy Ballroom, Heat and Ambar and now after a year on hiatus, Mad Hatters makes it’s debut in Perth’s freshest Nightclub, SHAPE.

This years theme is OLYMPICS, so lace up your tennis shoes, slip on your boxing gloves and pin up your Toga, The Mad Hatter is loose again and this time he’s going for Gold!

Two Teams of turntable talent have been specially selected by the SHAPE Olympics DJ committee, The upstairs stadium sees a back to back battle of Gold Winning Tech, Minimal and Progressive whilst the Dowstairs Arena will attempt a World Record Breaking mix of Electro, Breakbeat, French House, Baltimore and Nu Disco.

As always, costume is strongly encouraged, so get creative, get competitive, and get into SHAPE for the 2009 Mad Hatters Olmpics!
