Stephanie McKay (USA) Straight from The Bronx NY, McKay has worked with many talented artists such as Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Amp Fiddler, DJ Spinner and Geoff Barrow (Portishead). She recorded two albums with Brooklyn Funk Essentials in the 90’s and is also a member of the new off-shoot Parliament Funkadelic band called Drugs. This is McKay’s first time touring Australia! She is not to be missed live. Katalyst and McKay have worked together on her first album entitled “MCKAY”. Katalyst will be producing the entire album for her Australian release on Invada scheduled for next year.
Steve Spacek (UK) Born & bred in the UK Spacek has recently moved to Australia. He is an internationally renowned soul artist of the highest caliber. Often likened to Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, he has worked with J Dilla, Slum Village and more. Giles Peterson from BBC1 has called him ‘the voice of modern soul’.
